Dr. Drake is a second-generation veterinarian with a passion for emergency medicine, practice ownership, and software development. He started Koi out of a motivation to create a comprehensive platform that speaks directly to the needs of veterinary teams, ranging from solo-veterinarian general practices to multi-specialty referral centers. Dr. Drake’s hands-on approach in software development, combined with his veterinary expertise, ensures Koi meets the highly specific needs of the field.

Dr. Tam’s professional experience is demonstrated by his interests in communication, general practice, and specialty ER medicine. Growing up in San Francisco, he easily developed a great passion for our world’s growing technology and its usability. After years of working with various veterinary technologies, Tam joined Koi with the goal of developing a system that allows for an incredible user experience while also delivering an effective and professional veterinary management platform.
